Bob Weiss is one of the managing partners in Theatrical Resources. With over 21 years of experience in the industry, and over 10 years under the Theatrical Resources umbrella, Bob has acquired extensive hands-on expertise in all phases of stagecraft. With his well-rounded experience as a Staging Supervisor, Crew Chief, and Production Carpenter, Bob has developed and maintained a strong rapport with numerous producers, production companies, and scenic shops supporting them through his role as their local one union representative.

Serving as the appointed liaison between production and local union labor, Bob manages various sized crews from 2 to 100+ on any given day or show.  His role consists of time sensitive hiring, effectively assigning core personnel to proper departments, coupled with the added responsibility of a strong organized work-site being established.  In addition to actively being on-site, Bob also provides estimated budgets, manages the crew hours and positions on a daily basis, as well as ensuring they are paid their contractual Union pay and benefits. Striving to always keep the producers shows “on budget” and “on time”, he works hand-in-hand communicating detailed reporting and billing.

Bob has provided this expertise on a wide variety of televised live events from New Year’s Eve Times Square to Victoria Secret Fashion Shows, New York Fashion Week including Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, Coach and Ralph Lauren as well as Video Music Awards (VMAs), Turner Upfront, Nike product launches and many more in venues all over New York City and throughout the US.

Bob currently resides in New Jersey with his wife Connie and his Golden Retriever Cody. In his free time, he escapes to the surrounding lakes and bays to fish and to the local links for a round (or two!) of golf.  Woodworking and carpentry have been his lifelong interest and passion.
